Travelling to Japan
Japan, a country of outstanding beauty, rich culture and advanced technology, attracts travellers from all over the world. Its unique combination of tradition and modernity offers an unforgettable experience, combining ancient traditions and modern innovations.
If you are a Slovenian citizen and hold a valid Slovenian passport, you do not need a visa to enter Japan for tourism, trade, conferences, visiting relatives or acquaintances, etc. You will need a visa if you will be in Japan to carry out acquisition activities and if your visit will be longer than 90 days. To avoid any inconvenience, if you are travelling with a person under 18 years of age, you are advised to obtain, in addition to a valid travel document, a statement from the parents indicating that they agree to the child's travelling to Japan. For information on visas to Japan for foreign nationals residing or working in Slovenia, please contact the Embassy of Japan in Slovenia or the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Tokyo.
