Geographical features
Slovenia is a country with an extremely diverse landscape. The Alps in the north are a mountainous world with many rivers, lakes and winter sports. To the south-west is access to the Adriatic Sea with its Mediterranean climate. Karst caves, such as Škocjan Caves, are a geological feature. Many rivers, such as the Sava, Drava and Soča, cross the country. The climate varies from Alpine in the north, continental in the central part to Mediterranean along the coast, allowing you to experience all four seasons, from snowy winters to warm summers.
